Yip Tattoo Studio was founded in 2024 by Derek Yip. Derek began his journey in tattooing in 2012 and has spent years on the road refining his craft, including training under Orient Ching of Taiwan.
Through craftsmanship of Japanese tattooing—focusing on strong composition, movement, and designs that flow naturally with the body. Each piece is approached as a collaboration, taking the time to understand what matters to the client and translating that into something lasting.
Whether it’s a large-scale piece or something smaller, the goal is always the same: to create work that feels meaningful, balanced, and timeless. Yip Tattoo Studio is a space where tradition meets personal expression, and every piece is made with intention.
葉師傅刺青處 (Yip Tattoo Studio) 是由葉師傅 (Derek Yip) 於2024年創立。Derek 自2012年起開始投身刺青行業，曾赴台灣師承 Orient Ching 師傅，多年來遊歷各地精修技藝，經驗豐富。

Yip Tattoo Studio specialises in Japanese Irezumi and Oriental-inspired tattooing. This includes traditional Japanese iconography — dragons, koi, peonies, tigers, and mythological figures — executed with bold linework and vibrant colour. The studio also takes on new-traditional Japanese pieces and cover-up work.

Yes. Every piece is designed specifically for the client — no flash off the wall. Derek approaches each tattoo as a collaboration, designing around the body and tailoring the imagery to suit the person wearing it.
